ARLINGTON -- Lucille Ward Molen, 85, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned to our heavenly Father surrounded by her family Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3809 Curt Drive, Dalworthington Gardens. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wade Funeral Home and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Lucille was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Rigby, Idaho, to Abram and Pollie Ward, the fifth of eight children. After high school, she attended business college and later married Robert W. Molen on Dec. 12, 1947, in the LDS Temple in Idaho Falls. Lucille had been a resident of Arlington since 1967 and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1986. As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many leadership positions with the women and youth and played an important part in the church's growth in this area of Texas. Devoted to her family, her cooking and homemaking skills were legendary. She was especially proud of her voluntary service for 15 years in the LDS Temple in Dallas.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and a grandson.
Survivors: Husband of 64 years, Robert W. Molen; children, Ward W. Molen and wife, Crystal, Ann Peterson and husband, Michael, and Kelly R. Molen and wife, Laura; eight grandchildren and spouses; and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley W. Young of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Carma Casper of St. George, Utah..
