Lowell Curtis

July 19, 1938 — October 17, 2023

Lowell Curtis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023, at the age of 85. Born on July 19, 1938, in Wichita Falls, Texas, he was the beloved son of Jesse and Julia Curtis.

Lowell was a devoted husband, sharing 62 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Annie. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Lowell had a deep commitment to his faith. He served as a deacon at both Tate Springs Baptist and Retta Baptist Church. He spent much of his time spreading the Word of God through 169 Bill Glass Prison ministry missions. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, offering hope and solace to those in need. Lowell was an active member of the community. His servant heart took him to also serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission in Arlington and the President of the Men’s Garden Club of Texas. His calling of helping others also transitioned to proudly serving his country in the Air Force Reserves and in his career in sales at Dallas Container Corporation.

Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Annie, daughters Susan and husband Mitch Worthy, Sharla and husband Aaron Nowels and daughter-in-law, Jacque Curtis Redmon and husband Jay Redmon. Lowell’s legacy will continue through his adored seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will miss their loving “Grandfather”.

Lowell is preceded in death by his son, James, sister, Myrna and parents Jesse and Julia. Lowell’s legacy will be cherished and remembered by those who knew and loved him. Truly a remarkable man who loved his family and the Lord deeply. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 6-8pm at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas.
