Louis Wayne Queen

Louis Wayne Queen, age 68, passed away on June 2, 2023.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Wayne was born in Gastonia, North Carolina to Louis Madison Queen and Lula May Davis Queen.

Wayne was a resident of Irving and Grand Prairie for the past 38 years. He was raised and baptized in Fairview Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina. He retired in 2022 and was recognized as the best crane operator in Dallas County. He enjoyed boating and his family, but spending time with his grandkids was his favorite pastime.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Queen and Lula May Davis Queen; and brother, David Queen.

Survivors: Wife of 31 years, Angela Hopkins Queen; son, Caleb Queen; daughter, Codie Queen; grandchildren, Nevah Queen, Sophia Grace Queen and Pyper Quinn Hughes; brother, Matt Queen and wife, Leslie; sister, Scheffney Sides; sister-in-law, Vicki Queen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
