On December 27h, 2023 Luis Ramos Jr, 75, passed away. He was born in Dallas, Texas on October 9, 1948, to his mother Amelia Rodriguez Ramos and his father Luis Ramos Sr. His parents both preceded him in death. Luis, most notably, was a warrior. He served his country honorably earning many medals including the Bronze Star Medal for his heroism in battle. His loved ones will remember him as a funny man who loved to dance and sing, though usually getting the lyrics wrong. He always wanted to look “sharp,” and he always made an entrance. He loved to paint and was very artistic.
He is survived by his children including Melanie Ramos Goocher and husband Kevin, Alec Ramos, and Claudia Vasquez, his grandchildren Darien Satterfield, Dakota Goocher, and Devon Morse, as well as his siblings Catherine Ybarra and husband Ricky, Victor Ramos and wife Irene, Rosario “Rosie” Martinez, Patricia “Patsy” White and husband Jimmy, Epifania “Penny” Cisneros, and Marcela “Marcy” Ramos as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His beloved brother Teddy Ramos preceded him in death.
We will miss you. You were a good man.
