Louis Martin Penã, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Mansfield.
Funeral Service: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 11:30 a.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane 3. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Louis was born on October 24, 1932 in Poteet, Texas to Louis Penã and Emma Stolc Penã. He resided in the DFW Metroplex all of his life. Louis was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married Peggy Brown on February 4, 1974 in Durant, Oklahoma. Louis retired as a lifelong hair stylist and worked with medical prosthetics. He also worked as a financial planner and was a former employee and bus driver at DFW National Airport.
Louis was an artist and enjoyed woodworking, drawing and painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Peggy Brown Penã; daughters, Donna Crawford Swanson and Carolyn Cox; brother, Robert Penã; grandchildren, Carrie Crawford Roshell and Daniel Cox; great-granddaughter, Rileigh Hayden Roshell.
