Lottie was born on May 26, 1919 in Rome, NY, to Paul Paduck and Elizabeth Wohn Paduck. Lottie attended elementary and high school in Rome and then studied vocational therapy. She received her license and was employed at the Rome State School where she worked for over thirty years. It was during this time that Lottie met and married Reverend Jan Piotrowski who sadly preceded in her death in 1961. Lottie shared her love of crafts, especially different types of needlework, with the students she worked with. She also learned to make beautiful quilts which she shared with family and friends.
Family and friends were Lottie's love and joy. She lived on the same road with many of her siblings in homes they had all helped each other build. Lottie enjoyed spending time with family and also being outdoors. She loved to go fishing and boating which she shared with her husband and grandchildren. All five of her grandchildren learned to water ski behind their boat on Lake Delta in Rome. In addition to lake activities, Lottie took her grandchildren on many very memorable motorhome trips throughout the upstate NY area including the Catskill Mountains and Niagara Falls. She helped create many lifelong memories for each of them.
Lottie and her second husband, Mike Bryla, fulfilled their dream of living in Florida after both had retired. They chose Ormond Beach where they could continue to pursue their outdoor activities in a much warmer climate. They continued to host family and friends here, sharing their beach life with them. Lottie kept herself busy creating treasures for her family including many Christmas ornaments, afghans and quilts. She made many beautiful quilts for her grandchildren which will be treasured forever.
Lottie's infectious smile and abundant love will be greatly missed by all of us. Her family would like to thank all of those who cared for her at Castle Rock. You all became a big part of her family!
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her sister, both husbands and her son-in-law.
