Lonnie Ray Black, 71, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his home in Arlington, Texas
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, January 21st, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd at Wade Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlin Cemetery, Arlington.
Memorials may be made in Lonnie's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, North Texas Chapter or to Mayfield Road Baptist Church's “God Is Able” fund.
Lonnie was born on February 6, 1948 in Webb City, Missouri to Clyde Raymond and Ruby Lorene (Stapleton) Black.
Lonnie was an Arlington resident for the past 50 years and a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. He worked at the Naval Air Station Warehouse. He enjoyed his police scanner, computer and talking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bonnie Black Hayes who passed away in 2008 and a brother-in-law, James Robinson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Jo Ann; two sisters-in-law, Debra Robinson and Terry Roberts; his niece, Cathy Daniels and her husband, David; nephew, Philip Hayes and his wife, Debbie; and one great-nephew, Jason Daniels and his wife, Esmeralda. He will also be fondly remembered by a host of extended family and friends.
