Lisa Juanita Manuel

Lisa Juanita Manuel, aged 53, passed away on December 14, 2023. Her celebration of life will be held on January 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at Tate Springs Baptist Church.

Lisa was born on November 30, 1970. She is the child of Shedrick and Helen Manuel. The daughter of a school teacher, Lisa valued education. She received her high school diploma from Bunkie New Tech High School. She then went on to earn an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Lamar State in 1999 followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from LeTourneau University in 2010.

Lisa worked until the end of her life, helping others at the Arlington Plaza Assisted Living Facility. Lisa was a proud and devoted grandmother and a faithful friend. Those that knew her remember her as a pillar of strength and joy.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Shedrick and Helen; her stillborn son; her uncle Bo and her sister Debra. She is survived by her children D’Kendrick, Kendall, Kenan and Kendra; grandchildren Benjamin, Kaliayh, David, Kalani and Divine; her brothers Calvin and Russell and their families, amongst many others.
