Linda Lee Dyer, 70, passed away December 19, 2017.
Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 313 N. Center Street, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Arlington or Community Hospice of Texas.
Linda was born May 10, 1947 in Abilene to Edward Lee Craig and Beatrice Shanks Craig.
She received her Bachelor's degree from Hardin Simmons University, and then she moved with her family to Arlington, Texas to begin her teaching career in 1971. She later completed her Master's Degree from the University of North Texas. Linda worked in the Arlington Independent School District for many years as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and as a Principal at Wimbish Elementary. She retired from AISD in 1999. She believed in the value of education and continued to strive to better herself, her family, and her peers.
Linda was very active in her FUMC Lamplighters class, the Women's Club of Arlington, and she served on the resident's board at Isle at Watercrest.
She was preceded in death by husband, George Dyer; father, Ed Craig; and her mother, Bea Craig.
Survivors: Son, Craig Dyer and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Christina Seckinger and husband, Graham; great-granddaughters, Grace and Emma; brother, Eddie Craig and wife, Pam; sisters-in-law, Becky Copeland and husband, Mike, Jeanette Dyer, Joyce Dyer; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
