Dianne Tickle Garner, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in her Arlington, Texas home on October 13, 2024. She was 77 years old.
Dianne was born on March 3, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to Henry and Jessie Tickle. Upon her graduation from Arlington High School, Dianne dedicated 17 years of her life to Chuck-E-Cheese before retiring.
Dianne loved to travel and she collected pins from the many places she visited. Her love for sewing and baking were especially evident during the Christmas season...she made Christmas stockings for the nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and was known as the family "holiday baker". She loved eating out with her friends and family.
Dianne remained active in several different friend groups including the 39ers, Mending Hearts and also with her Sunday School class at Tate Springs Baptist Church. She was passionate about spending time with her church family and friends over game nights.
Dianne will always be remembered for the joy and happiness she brought to those around her. Her giving and caring nature always shone through, making her an incredibly special woman. She was an extremely caring, sweet and Godly woman...a pillar of support to those around her, always putting their needs above her own.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jessie Tickle; her husband Frank Garner; step-son Timothy Garner; and brother Darrell Tickle. Her memory will be cherished by her family members, including her sister Judy Kirby; brother Jerry Tickle; step-daughter Sharrell Norris; step-grandson Doug Rash as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21 from 6:00-7:30pm at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington Texas. Dianne will be laid to rest at Moore Memorial Gardens and a graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 22.
Dianne's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Although she will be dearly missed by her family and friends, her love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
