Linda Faye Dalrymple of Arlington, TX passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 75.
Services: Her family will have a private memorial service later in the year.
Memorials: Although always close with her brothers and sisters, due of the early death of her mother, Linda was denied the benefit of having a full childhood of a traditional nuclear family upbringing. Because of that background, she was always looking to help those in need, especially those less fortunate and in difficult situations. So in lieu of flowers, Linda would hope that you would honor her life and regularly help those you discover in need as your circumstances allow.
Linda was born in Gary, TX on January 9, 1945 and was the youngest of seven children. Throughout her childhood, she lived in various areas of Texas and Mississippi before settling in Houston, TX with her oldest sister. She attended business school and held positions in a number of industries, ultimately settling in as an office manager for a construction company. Her career was cut short at the young age of 54 when she suffered a stroke, but she defied all expectations and thrived in other unique ways in spite of physical challenges for additional twenty years, accumulating further friends and grandchildren. Because of her fighting spirit, she was able to see her three girls marry, and through the years, enjoy time with them and her six grandchildren.
Linda met Gary Rowan in 1985 and went on to share 35 wonderful years with him in Arlington TX. They enjoyed trips to Mexico, loving a number of German Shepherds, numerous cats and other dogs; and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed reading, traveling, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and planning and constructing, of her own efforts, numerous home renovation projects.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah Arnold and six siblings (Jeannie, Evie, Ivan, Jimmy, Fanny, and Roland).
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Gary Rowan, her three girls, Marianne Cline (Calvin), Becca Buechele (Eric), and Sarah Rittenhouse (Mark), and especially her adored six grandchildren (who are perfect): Reagan Rittenhouse, Dylan Buechele, Colton Cline, Maisie Cline, Luke Rittenhouse, and Brendan Buechele. Linda is further survived by numerous nephews, nieces and a lifetime of friends that she seemed to collect with every new opportunity, even in the most difficult circumstances.
