ARLINGTON -- Leta Elaine Isom, 59, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Arlington.
Funeral: 6 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. prior to service at 6 p.m.
Elaine was born September 27, 1953 in Saint Louis, Mo. to Raymond and Bonnie Petty. She was a longtime Arlington resident before moving to Burleson. Elaine was well known for her sense of humor and she lit up the room with her smile and laughter. Kim's mom was known as the "coolest mom:" to Kim's friends. She loved shopping and garage saleing. Elaine was always looking out for the people she cared about. She was the loving and bossy "Sissy" to her sisters and sweet "Yeah-yeah" to her granddaughter, Clara.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wayne Isom on Sept. 3, 2012; mother, Bonnie Evelyn Petty; and two brothers.
Survivors: Daughter, Kimberly Isom Gotchall and husband, Robert; granddaughter, Clara Lane Gotchall; father, Raymond Petty; sisters, Susan Turner, and Kelly Griffin and husband, David; mother-in-law, Marcelene Isom; brother-in-law, David Isom; and aunts, uncles, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
