Leslie Michele Scott Jackson My amazing wife. Over the last 30 years from teens to now, my beautiful Leslie remained a loyal, passionate, and caring partner. Her support for me and our relationship is immeasurable. She helped me through all the tests and troubles that life could throw at us. We struggled through so many things including long-term separation for work, poverty, and death of loved ones. Through it all, she provided me with laughter, joy, love, motivation and happiness. She inspired me to be better every day. She has the beauty of an angel inside and out. Leslie is a huge part of me forever. A mother to aspire to be. Leslie was the most amazing mother anyone could have ever been blessed with. Even in her last year, while in so much pain, she shared what happiness she had with her family while still guiding with words of wisdom. She showed that no task is too great to overcome with family love and the will to fight. Leslie provided tremendous loving care to her children throughout the years. She always believed in our kids and supported them through every step of life, teaching them that things are not always black and white but to look to the grey areas for truth, and to enjoy the good days over dreading the bad. She loved them unconditionally and protected them at all costs, even when they were wrong. Her words and example continue to guide them how to live, love and be strong on their journey to their full potential. Compassion is the soul of her Compassion guided Leslie to become a nursing assistant, medical assistant and finally a nurse. She cared for the elderly, the homeless, the addicted, those in pain, and children throughout her career. She cared more for others than anyone I can name. I know there are countless people whose lives were made better by her caring touch. Compassion also guided her personal life. The decisions Leslie made with our children and I were always with our interest in mind. She instilled us with hope and strength while soothing our pains. She put us ahead of herself every day. Always so caring and kind, she would reach out to help family and friends without being asked. Her compassion for her family and friends is seen and heard from her brother and sister, mom and dad; to everyone around her. She would provide a shoulder to cry on, listen and help for hours, be a confidant, advisor, or just plain go do something for anyone. Talent is her gift to all. The word “Artist” fails to completely describe Leslie's talents. Her singing brought beauty and comfort to all that heard it. She played the piano with grace and ease. Her baked goods and homemade meals filled you with joy. She amazed us with clay work from vases and crosses to a bust of my beloved grandfather. The creativity in her paintings hanging throughout our home is astonishing. She created costumes from scratch for co-workers and our children using sewing, crochet and paper machete. Her floral arrangements, homemade curtains and hand-made blankets, and scarfs made with love and heart are the envy of everyone. The wood working yard art she created during the holiday seasons would bring the traffic to a standstill. Leslie's passion for art and her compassion for people merged in her work with the "Online Angels". Through the years she crocheted hundreds of items for babies, children and the homeless and donated warmth for those in need. Leslie loved to read all types of books, from drama and romance to crafts and wood working. She collected many items including shot glasses from anyplace anyone in our family visited. She made scrap books and picture albums that showed her love of family. Her collection of Santas and incredible handcrafted decorations always brings a warm feel to every Christmas and lets you know you are home. Her most loved collection of angels still watches over us throughout the house. Her Legacy Leslie Michele Scott Jackson will live on within her present and future family, friends, and all the people she helped throughout her life. We will see her smile in a familiar face and hear her voice in a kind word and we will know that our Beautiful Angel is now watching over us.
