Leslie Harrison

November 8, 1936 — June 6, 2021

Leslie Joyce Harrison, 84, lost her valiant battle with cancer on June 6, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Joyce was born in Meridian, Mississippi to Leslie Avis and Ethel Pearl Harbour. She and her sister, Carol, taught dance to many students in Meridian. After living in many cities in Mississippi, Joyce moved to Texas and was employed by Allied Pilots Association (APA) having been Executive Secretary to 3 National Officers during her tenure. She retired after nearly 24 years of faithful service to APA. She enjoyed traveling and resided in Tennessee or Texas in her retirement years. Joyce is predeceased in death by her parents, husband, daughter (Julia), and granddaughter (Sarah). Joyce is survived by her son, C, Michael (Myra); grandson, Jacob (Jessica); great-granddaughter, Everly; sister, Carol; nieces, Debbie and Melissa; nephews, Steve and Leslie and other family members. The family would like to thank her dear friend, Joanne and Community Hospice for the loving care provided during her time in Texas and her loving family in Tennessee who help tremendously with her care during her cancer fight. Joyce would want all to celebrate a life well lived knowing a "Dixie" angel is watching over. What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.-Helen Keller
