Leroy Clyde Hallman, 72, passed peacefully at his home, Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Celebration of Life: Memorial Bike Ride, Wednesday, April 23, 6pm at River Legacy Park MTB Trails, Arlington Texas. Visitation, Thursday, April 24, 6-8 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, TX. Funeral: Service, Friday, April 25, 2pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, TX. Graveside Service, Saturday, 3pm at Ben Lomond Cemetery, Ben Lomond, AR. Memorials: The family asks that you consider a donation to install a memorial bench at the River Legacy Mountain Bike Trails. Donations can be accepted at http://www.gofundme.com/8f28fc. Leroy Hallman was born February 21, 1942, the third son of George "Harold" Hallman and Sarah Lucille Drewing, in Ben Lomond Arkansas. He moved to Arlington at age 14, six years later he met Joan Patricia McDowell and they were married on Jan 2, 1962. Joan and Leroy had four children, Cheri, Bruce, Renee and Shelly. Leroy enjoyed a life-long career as a UAW member at the General Motors Assembly plant. He had many hobbies, each of which he was determined to do his very best. He was a mechanic, loved to boat, fish and ski. He excelled at bowling, slow pitch softball, gardening, marathon running, long distance cycling, mountain biking and automobile racing. Even in his 70s, Leroy remained an avid cyclist and trail volunteer at River Legacy Off-Road MTB Trails where he made many friends with his outgoing, easy nature and his enormous smile. Survivors: Wife, Joan Patricia. Daughters, Cheri Lee, Edith "Renee", Sarah Michelle "Shelly", and Son, Bruce Edwin. Grandchildren, Devin, Miranda, Casie Lee and Calie Ann.
