August 13, 1940 – October 7, 2022.

Leonidas lived a long and beautiful life. He was born on August 13, 1940 in Goliad Texas and lived in the metropolitan Arlington area with his family and children. Leonidas was known as a man of his word and was respected by those who knew him. He will be remembered as a very giving person but also firm and direct. Leonidas was 82 years of age when he left this earth to be with his Lord.

Leonidas is survived by daughters Graciela Garcia, Belia Martinez and her husband Paul, Cristela Cardoza and Margarita Cardoza Pena and her husband Javiel, and sons Ramon Cardoza, Sammy Cardoza and Leo Dan Cardoza.

He is also survived by sisters Lupe Barraza, Sylvia Gomez and her husband Roy and Lisa Black and her husband Troy and brothers Manual Cardoza and his wife Bertha, Ismael Cardoza, Robert Cardoza and his wife Linda, Santos Cardoza, Richard Cardoza and Gerardo Cardoza.

Leonidas is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Leonidas was preceded in death by his father Severiano Cardoza, mother Anita Reyes Cardoza, sisters Lucia Cantu and Alice Cardoza Garcia, brother Severiano Cardoza (Sammy), and uncles Santos Cardoza and Simon Cardoza.

This is not a goodbye but instead a “we will see you again one day”. He was a father, brother, son and friend. He will be missed dearly.

A viewing/visitation and reception will be held Monday, October 17 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home 4140 W Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, 76013.
