Leo Frederick Goble Jr, 84, of Azle, Texas passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023.
Known as Fred by his friends and family, Fred was born in Milledgeville, Illinois on April 28,1939 to Leo Goble Sr. and Ann Kommer. He grew up in Milledgeville, Illinois and graduated from Milledgeville High School. He later earned a degree in Engineering from Bradley University.
Fred married the love of his life Sharon Goble in 1981 and they celebrated 40 years of marriage together. Sharon was there to greet Fred when he joined her in Heaven on Friday, June 23!
Major Leo Frederick Goble was a decorated United States Air Force Veteran and proudly served his country fighting for freedom in the Vietnam war. Major Goble was Honorably Discharged after many years of faithful service. Fred was a member of the Freemasons for over 60 years. Known for his great sense of humor and friendly personality, he was a talented woodworker, an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite people called him Papa.
Fred is survived by his daughter Kristi Barber and fiancé Paul Muzny of Caldwell; son Andy Hausenfluke and wife, Christina and their two boys Tyler and Wyatt Hausenfluke of Arlington; brother in-law Gary Rodgers and his wife Cheryl of Grand Prairie; sister in-law Patsy Jackson of San Angelo; nephew in-law Tal Jackson and wife Kristi of Aledo; niece in-law Takoma Jackson of San Angelo and her two daughters Sarah and Lindsey as well as numerous friends.
The family is honoring Fred’s wishes to not have a funeral or memorial services. Due to allergies and sensitivities the family asks that in lieu of plants or flowers a donation be made to the Texas Masonic Retirement Community in Memory of Fred Goble. You can donate now by clicking here.
