Lenora Anne Condley Blakey was born June 7, 1942, in Muskogee, Oklahoma and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 14, 2023. A visitation will be held at Wade Funeral Home on Monday, October 23 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24 at 11:00am at Tate Springs Baptist Church, Arlington, TX and a graveside service will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
Anne graciously accepted her cancer diagnosis in December of 2021 and lived to enjoy every precious moment until her passing at home with family by her side.
Anne lived a full life which was underpinned by her faith in the Lord and her dedication to her family and friends. She joined Tate Springs Baptist Church on March 24, 1992, where she served on countless committees including MOP’s as a mentor for young mothers, VBS and preparing meals for the homeless. She loved sharing her church family with her relatives- especially during Easter and Christmas time, celebrating these important times at special services and then at her home with food, fun and (shockingly) even a good-natured, low-stakes Left-Center-Right dice gambling game.
Anne graduated from Arlington High School in 1960. She cherished childhood friendships, staying in contact with many of them through the years, and keeping up with her many friend groups, such as her “Top Ten”, “Bee Gees (birthday girls)” and her “lake family”. Her friend groups ranged from childhood elementary, high school, professional relationships developed at LTV, her neighbors, and church friends.
Anne will forever be remembered as a friend you always wanted to have, and the friend you always wished you could be. Everyone who met her loved her.
While faith and friends were hugely important to Anne, her dedication and devotion to her family was unparalleled. She loved her family fiercely and will be missed more than words can express. She recognized every birthday, milestone, heartache, job well done, challenge and accomplishment of all her family members. She was always there to listen and to give encouragement with her words and deeds- remembering even the smallest details of one’s life.
Every family member was important to Anne, but none more important or more time worthy than her son Ross, granddaughter Kenedy, and great granddaughter Addisyn. They were the joy of her life, and she spent every minute she could making precious memories with each of them. Her love, patience, and guidance for them will be felt for generations.
As much as Anne cherished her Arlington hometown, she loved traveling and experiencing life away from home. Some of her favorite memories and experiences came from traveling throughout Europe, Mexico, the Redneck Riviera and especially her home away from home at Cedar Creek Lake.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, OJ Blakey, parents Gladys and Verlin Condley, brother Don Condley, sisters Norma Santee and Doris Sprinkle.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Ross and Melody McMichael, granddaughter Kenedy McMichael, great granddaughter Addisyn King, brother Doug Condley, sister Linda Martinez, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Pat Condley, nieces Holli, Terri, Gaye Lynn, Brooke, Kristi and April, Nephews Rob, Dalton, Russ, Timothy and Greg, many great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
