Lee Alan Finney,66, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Arlington, Tx.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family asks that donations be made in Lee's name to the ASPCA.
Lee was born on April 1, 1951 in Norwalk, CT. After moving to Texas, he graduated from Haltom High School in 1969. He attended the University of Texas at Austin for a number of years, going on to own and operate various businesses before retiring. Lee had a passion for natural stones and wood, developing skills as a woodworker and jewelry craftsman. In his youth, Lee was also a self-taught musician, and later began to compose music. He was known for his quick wit and sarcastic humor.
Survivors: his wife, Marjolaine; sister, Sherry Finney Coffman; children, Stephanie Finney, Rachael Nikirk and husband, Bruce, Devin Finney and wife, Jenni, and Emily Grove; step-children, Michael Smoldt and wife Yoo-Jin, Jokonda Chen, and Taylor Mahoney; nephews, Christopher and Patrick; grandchildren, Shelsea, Kylee, Coty, Paige, Hayden, Blake, Marc, Hailey, Christopher, Nicholas, Layla and Ariel; and six great-grandchildren.
