Leah Michelle Rukavina, 28, beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in Bryan, Texas.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, at North Davis Church of Christ, 1601 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: Hawkins Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the church. Leah was a bright shining light; the family requests guests wear bright colors to the service as we honor Leah's vibrant life.

Leah was born on May 28, 1990 in Arlington to David Charles Ferguson and Pati Guerin Ferguson. She graduated from Arlington High School in 2008 and received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Texas Tech University in 2012. She worked as a third grade teacher at Foster Village Elementary School in the Birdville ISD. She married the love of her life, Brian Rukavina on June 27, 2015.
Leah was known for her music and singing in high school and college. She was a member of the Praise Team at Grace Lutheran Church and North Davis Church of Christ. She loved life, and she loved her family and friends.
Leah's last gift was to save four lives through organ donation.
She was preceded in death by her granddaddies, Charlie V. Ferguson and Alvin R. Guerin.
Survivors: Beloved husband, Brian Rukavina; parents, David and Pati Ferguson; parents-in-law, John and Tracey Rukavina; brother, Jordan Ferguson and wife, Kara and their children, Karis Mae and Henlee Dayle; sister, Melissa Mitchell and husband, Lee and their children, Norah Rose and Lyla Grace; sister-in-law, Jen Rukavina; grandmothers, Merle Ferguson and Nola Guerin; uncle, Mike Guerin; aunts, Sheri Arnold and husband, Jay and Linda Cooper and husband, Gary; and a host of family and friends.
