Lawrence "Larry" Lee Lauer

Lawrence (Larry) Lee Lauer, 59, of Pantego,TX, formerly from Mendota, IL passed away peacefully July 26, 2019, at home. Visitation and Mass and of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until 10:30 am with the Mass following. The burial will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military rites at 1:15 pm. Mr. Lauer was born on January 16, 1960 in Mendota, Illinois to Edward and Roberta (Amfahr) Lauer. He married Lauri Gerrard on November 20,1999. Larry attended Mendota High School and graduated in 1978. He served in the U.S Air Force earning 6 medals during his time in the force. He served in Operation Desert Shield/ Storm. He was ranked as a Technical Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Larry went on to work for Supervalu for 24 years .In addition to supporting his family goals, Larry enjoyed cooking, spending his time using his computer, and absolutely loved watching the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife, Lauri Lauer; his mother, Roberta Lauer; two brothers, Mike Lauer, and Scott (Wendy) Lauer; two sisters, Diane (Doug) Barr, and Marry (Frank) Rottman; his son, Daniel; four daughters, Elizabeth Blaiszik, Hannah Blaiszik, Emma Lee Lauer, Dakota Lauer; and six granddaughters.
