ARLINGTON -- Lavena Fuller Walter, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Arlington.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Pastor David Daniels officiating. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home.
A member of a pioneer Pantego/Arlington family, Lavena was born July 18, 1928, in Pantego to Jess Nelson Fuller and Mary Bess Wade Fuller. She was a retired U.S. Postal Service rural letter carrier. A lifelong member of Pantego Bible Church, she was a member of the Audubon Society and Dalworthington Gardens Historical Society. Lavena enjoyed birds, roses and wildflowers and spending time with her family.
Survivors: Sons, William Walter and Richard Walter; daughter, Annabel Qualls (Gary); brothers, W.N. "Billy Nelson" Fuller (Pat), Joe Fuller (Yuvonna); twin sister, Lavana Williams (R.E. "Tex"); grandchildren, Steven (Jocelyn), David (Mindy), Michael (Aubrey), Robert; great-grandchildren, Noah and Peter Qualls.
