PANTEGO -- Lavana Fuller Williams, 86, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in Dallas.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Calm Cemetery, Limestone County. Visitation: 10 a.m. to service time in the cemetery.
Lavana was born July 18, 1928, in Pantego and graduated from Arlington High School in 1945. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn., in 1950. Lavana earned her PHT from Bryan College in 1952, and her PHT. from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1956.
Lavana was in ministry with her husband in Young Life for 14 years and was an active member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church for 42 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Bess Fuller; twin sister, Lavena Walter; younger brother, Joe Fuller; and great-grandson, Gibson Allen.
Survivors: She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert E. "Tex" Williams; brother, Billy Fuller and wife, Pat; daughters, Becky Allen and husband, Richard, and Karen Rogers and husband, Mike. Lavana found great joy in her grandchildren, Jonathan Rogers and wife, Brandy, Daniel Allen and wife, Beth, Jessica and Jade Rogers, and Rachel and Sarah Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Landon, Ryder, Cooper, Paisley, and Cambry.
