Laurie Ann Ogletree, 63, a retired cafeteria manager for the Arlington Independent School District was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in Arlington, TX. Laurie was born on July 24, 1960, in Arlington, and was the loving daughter of Stella and Donald Gordon. A Celebration of Life will be held for Laurie on June 23, 2024, at 12:00p.m. at 2509 Cotano Court, Aledo, TX., 76008. Remembrances may be made in the form desired by family and friends. The family suggests a side dish along with your favorite story of Laurie to share with everyone.
Laurie attended Bowie High school in Arlington. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had many children who called her their “adopted grandma” and she was loved by all that knew her. Anyone who knew Laurie, knew how much she loved and cherished her family. She adored her job working as a cafeteria manager and loved seeing the children every day. Laurie also loved being a Sunday School teacher for many years at Living Water Baptist Church. Laurie was known for her kind heart and generosity. She is truly treasured, beloved, and will be greatly missed.
Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Donald Gordon, and her sister Melodie Higgins.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Kassandra Gordon, Jason Ogletree and wife, Arille Ogletree, Regina Ramos and husband, James Isaac Ramos; Grandchildren, Kayla Chavez and husband, Manuel Chavez, Gabriel Gordon, Marley Ramos, and Jobe Ogletree; Great Grandchildren, Damien, Dharius and Dustin Chavez; Sisters, Candy Tucker and husband (Michael), Pam Lacy and husband, Robert; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family members.
