Mr. Larry R. Chapman

Lawrence R. “Larry” Chapman, 86, passed away on January 21, 2022, in Arlington, Texas. He was born on July 10, 1935, in Athens, Texas to Opal and Kelly Chapman.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, Texas 75211.

Larry served proudly in the United States Army. He worked as an insurance salesman for National Farm Life Insurance Company in Fort Worth, Texas. Larry and his wife, Emma were both members of Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington. He loved his job in insurance and loved the people he came to know during his time selling insurance. Larry loved sports and enjoyed going with the family to sporting events and working for the Texas Rangers Baseball Team at the stadium in Arlington, Texas. He played football for Sam Houston State University as a young man.

Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma Laura (Harlin) Chapman; son, Chad Chapman and wife, Emma; daughter, Laura Shuffitt and husband, Danny; granddaughter, Danielle Shuffitt; brother, Frank Chapman; sister, Dee Ann Chapman; sister-in-law, Paulette Chapman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Tommy Chapman.
