ARLINGTON -- Larry M. Scott, 68, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, in Arlington surrounded by his family.
Graveside service: 1:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice, in his memory.
Larry was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Dallas. He was a graduate of North Texas State University and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before spending his career with the U.S. Postal Service.
Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the nurses and staff at both Arlington Memorial Hospital and Community Hospice for their outstanding care during his last days.
He was preceded in death by his father, I.E. "Scotty" Scott; and his mother, Frances "Jimmie" Scott.
Survivors: His wife of 45 years, Sherry Scott; son, Chris Scott and wife, Heather; daughter, Jaime Scott and son-in-law, Mike McGlone; sister, Linda Shuler; brother, Glenn Scott and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Ashley Wyche and Brandon and Austin Scott; and extended family and friends.
