Lan Thi Tran

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lan Thi Tran, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She peacefully departed this life on May 24, 2024, in Arlington, Texas, leaving a lasting legacy of love and warmth.

Lan was born on February 2, 1938 in Thai Binh, Vietnam to her late parents, Ngo Dinh Tran and Na Thi Bui.

Lan dedicated her life to her family and found joy in sharing her cooking talents with those she held dear. Her presence at the temple was a source of solace and spiritual fulfillment for her. Lan’s nurturing spirit and kindness were felt by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Hung Quoc Vu, To Nga Vu, Nick Vu, Oanh Bunas (Rodney), Tuan Vu, Tien Vu (Van), Cuong Vu, Thinh Vu (Lisa), Thanh Vu (Dung), and Dat Vu; grandchildren Nhi Vu, Kimie Bunas, Clinton Bunas, Mathew Vu, Cody Vu, Shayla Vu, Tommy Vu, Tracy Vu, Danny Vu, Johny Vu; and her brothers and sisters Diep Tran, Lang Tran, Dong Tran, and Moc Tran. Lan also leaves behind numerous other friends who were touched by her caring nature.

Visitations to honor Lan’s life will take place on Tuesday, July 2 and Wednesday, 3 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service to commemorate her legacy will be held on July 5 from 9:00am to 11:00am, also at Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the service, Lan will be laid to rest at Moore Memorial Gardens.
