Kimberly Ann Sanchez

November 17, 1970 — August 24, 2023

Our beloved Kimberly Ann Sanchez, known for her compassionate nature and unwavering love for children and animals, passed away on August 24, 2023, in Arlington, TX. She was surrounded by her loving family, who held her hand as she peacefully transitioned into eternal rest.
Kimberly was born in Concord, California on November 17, 1970, to proud parent Carol Gallegos. She exhibited a kind and caring spirit from an early age. Throughout her life, she embodied the true essence of selflessness, dedicating her career to fostering the development and well-being of children as a child-care director. Her passion for youth was unparalleled, and she touched the lives of countless little ones during her tenure.
Family meant everything to Kimberly, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Lisa Sanchez, who shared a lifetime of joy, love, and countless precious memories. Together, they created a beautiful family and raised their children with boundless love and support. Kimberly’s son, Zach, and daughters, Amanda Marie Blanton and Kelsey Nicole Barnes, were eternally grateful for the unconditional love and guidance she provided throughout their lives.
Kimberly was also blessed with the joy of being a doting grandmother. She found immense happiness in showering her grandchildren, Liam, Kamryn and Wyatt Copeland, and Kace Blanton, with affection and adoration. Her face would light up with joy at the sight of their smiles, and she cherished every precious moment spent with them.
Beyond her love for children, Kimberly had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond humans, as she rescued/cared for animals since childhood and lovingly bottle-fed/fostered 75 kittens in need the last 5 years of her life. She had a deep reverence for nature and a fondness for the color green, which served as a reminder of the beauty and serenity that surrounded her.
Kimberly was a devoted fan of the Forty-Niners NFL team, even though it meant a divided house as her wife, Lisa, passionately supported the Cowboys. Their friendly rivalry added a touch of excitement to game days, but their love for each other always prevailed, transcending their shared passion for different teams.
A memorial service to celebrate Kimberly’s remarkable life will be held at Wade Chapel on September 8, 2023, at 11:00 am. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Kimberly touched are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to a cause dear to Kimberly’s heart, “Averting CAT-astrophe,” which aims to provide care and support to stray and abandoned cats. Donations can be made through their website at https://avertingcatastrophe.com or to any animal shelter/rescue of your choice in her name.
Kimberly Ann Sanchez will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, compassion, and dedication to fostering the well-being of her wife, children, grandchildren, and all animals. Her kind and selfless spirit will continue to inspire us all, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rest in peace, Kimberly. Your legacy of love will live on forever.
