Kevin Joseph Carr, 36, passed away Sunday, June 19th, 2016, in a tragic traffic accident.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Arlington. Interment: DFW National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington.
Kevin was born on October 5th, 1979. He grew up in Arlington, TX and was the oldest of 4 children. He attended Arlington High School and joined the Air Force in the years following. While in the Air Force, Kevin served as a Crew Chief stationed at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA. During his service he deployed to Kuwait, Qatar, and Kyrgyzstan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2013 and worked for American Aero in Ft. Worth as an airplane technician. Kevin grew up playing sports and had a special love for basketball and soccer. He was a huge Notre Dame football and Dallas Cowboys fan. Kevin was always the life of the party and a huge influence on his younger siblings. Their obsession with sports and Notre Dame all stemmed from him. He had a huge heart and knack for making people laugh. He was a kid at heart and wanted to make everyone around him feel loved. He loved kids and was very proud to be an Uncle to his 2 nephews. He impacted many that met him and was one of the kindest souls you would ever meet. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. We love you Kev!
Kevin is survived by his parents, Scott and Grethell Carr; brothers, Chip Carr and wife, Fallon and James Carr; sister, Lisa Carr; two nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
