Kevin was born on June 7, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas, to William Frank and Jackie Jean (Scott) Hill. Jackie later married Dwight Meeks who took on three children as if they were his own. Though he wasn't his birthfather, Dwight saw Kevin as his son and Kevin always felt blessed to have two Dads. From a young age, he was a true cowboy at heart, enjoying bull riding, bronc riding and even buffalo riding during his youth. Kevin attended Abilene High School. He met the love of his life, Rhonda when they were in the eighth grade. Their love story began just two weeks after graduating high school when they married, and their bond would last for 48 years. Together, they raised two beloved sons.
Throughout his career, Kevin worked for several aerospace companies. He was employed by Bell Helicopter for 27 years, where his skills and dedication helped him thrive in the aerospace industry. But it was his lighthearted nature, sense of humor, and infectious joy that made him stand out to those who knew him. Kevin was always ready with a story to tell. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and TCU football, Kevin was often found cheering on his teams, as well as indulging in his love for old Westerns, particularly enjoying films starring his hero, John Wayne. He was also passionate about country music and country dancing, with many fond memories of dancing with Rhonda.
Kevin’s love for the outdoors was evident in everything he did, from hunting, fishing and grilling out to creating his own backyard, "yard art" and his gnome collection. He found peace in nature, and his passion for the great outdoors was something he shared with those close to him.
