Kerry Michael O'Connell, Sr.

Kerry Michael O'Connell, age 73, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2025. Born in Rome, New York on December 20, 1951, to Norman Alexander and Betty Ann (Boyd) O'Connell, Kerry lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a truly remarkable spirit.

A graduate of Antonian College Preparatory High School, Kerry continued his education at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. He was passionate about coaching and mentoring, and his greatest legacy is the profound impact he had on his children. He instilled in them the importance of integrity, family, and a strong work ethic. Kerry believed in the potential of everyone, especially his family, and never gave up on anyone – from his children to his beloved dog, Whiskey. His door was always open, and he generously shared his wisdom, whether offering business advice or a helpful coaching tip.

Kerry truly appreciated the simple joys in life. Whether enjoying a cigar or a round of golf, he embraced each day with enthusiasm. A devoted fan, he passionately cheered on his Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks, his loyalty unwavering. His zest for life was infectious, inspiring all who knew him to find joy in every moment.

Kerry leaves behind his wife, eight children, and sixteen grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, perseverance, and love. He was a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, and while his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched, his legacy will live on in the traditions he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared with those who knew him. 

Rest in peace, Kerry. Your spirit lives on in all of us and you will forever be a guiding light.
