Kenneth Stephen Burgett – Kenny, age 63, born April 5, 1957 in Arlington, Texas died peacefully in his sleep on December 15, 2020. He was an Adjunct Professor for Tarrant County College. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Tommy Burgett of Alba, Texas; two nephews, Steven Arrizola and Jonathan Arrizola; and great nephew, Caden Taylor. Kenny is survived by his brother, Randy Burgett and wife Nina; sisters, Sharon Arrizola and husband Alex; and sister, Gena Robbins; niece, Cari Burgett Stephens and husband Ken and great-nephew, Austin,and great-niece Brooke; niece, Haley Burgett Birkelbach and husband Zack and great nieces, Kamdyn and Kyler, and great-nephew, Krew Birkelbach; neice, Lindsey Burgett Hayes and husband Jason and great-nephews, Nathan and Preston Hayes; nephew, Jeremey Arrizola and wife JaNice and great nieces, Jaden, Jayla and Jordyn, and great nephews, Jacob, Michael and Ryan Arrizola; niece, Heather Robbins Hays and husband Brian, and great nephews, Brennan and Hanson Hays; niece, Erica Robbins Salyer and husband Dustin and great nephew, Cameron and great niece Paige Taylor. Kenny was quite the character. He loved people, was generous with what little he had, never complained and a great storyteller. He attended Sam Houston High School until the second quarter of his senior year but did not graduate with the class of 1975. He obtained his GED, served in the US Navy, achieved an undergrad degree and a master's degree in creative writing from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
