Kenneth Keown

Kenneth Peyton Keown age 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2024, after a five year courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Kenny was born on January 2, 1951, to the late William Peyton Keown Jr. and the late Doris McFadin Keown, in Arlington, Texas. He was proud of his Arlington roots and graduated from Arlington High School in 1969. He attended UT Arlington and graduated with a business degree. He was in the mortgage business for forty years. During his career, he was an underwriter, loan officer, and corporate administrator.

His free time was devoted to boating, water skiing and racquetball. With his family, he enjoyed relaxing by the pool and traveling in his Bounder RV. After retirement, he joined Madd Dog Car Club and enjoyed showing off his crystal red corvette. He was fortunate to win many car shows and his life slogan quickly became "Celebrate the Wins". He and Diana went on many cruises and enjoyed seeing the sights of Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and the Northeast, and many Caribbean islands.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Doris Keown, and sister-in-law, Ella Keown. He is survived by his wife, Diana Woodard Keown, his daughter Ashley Keown Taylor and husband Josh and their children, Hudson and McKinley; sister Dianne Keown; brother Bill Keown and wife Judy; sister Janice Keown Orshalick and husband Alan; brother-in-law Deuane Woodard and wife Rose; and numerous niece and nephews, and close friends.
