Kenneth Brandon Mcgee

February 17, 1958 — December 21, 2022

Kenneth Brandon McGee passed away peacefully on December 21,2022 in Arlington, Texas.

Kenneth was born February 17, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to James Boyd McGee and Aletha Virginia Simmons McGee. He attended from Sam Houston High School in 1976 and after several jobs he began a long career of fueling airplanes at DFW International Airport. He began working there in 1979 and retired in 2018 after 39 years of faithful service.

Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors. He grew up around horses and developed a love of everything grizzly bear! He was a lifelong member of the NRA and spent 30 years on one deer lease helping to maintain the property and developing a healthy herd.

Whether it was cars, trucks, boats, or motorcycles, he always like to drive…FAST! Combining his love of NASCAR and every dog he ever met, he named his favorite dog Dale Earnhardt.

Kenneth was an avid music fan and especially loved blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Joe Bonamassa. He always cheered for the Denver Broncos and also came to admire their arch-rival Kansas City Chiefs.

He was always fascinated with outer space, volcanoes, and Bigfoot!

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father James Boyd McGee (who served as an electrician on a submarine in 1951 and then went on to work for General Motors) and his mother Aletha Virginia Simmons McGee; Virginia was able to live in her own home until she passed away. Kenneth was with her. He was also preceded in death by his brother Darrell Lynn McGee, who was taken way too soon and brother James Mark McGee who always made things harder than they had to be.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Jo Dena McGee. Although Kenneth had no children of his own, he was always there for Dena and her children and grandchildren. Dena’s daughters are Lindsey Parker and Tyler McLane, and son Thomas Parker and his wife Tammy Parker. Dena’s grandchildren are Brandon, Josh, Kinley, Kaidyn, great grandkids Violet, Delila, Hunter; grandchildren Taylor, Cameron, great grandkids Lyla, Nicholas, Cody, grandchildren Blade, Zoey, and Ivy Joe.

They love you, Kenny Boy!

Kenneth is also survived by his uncle Larry McGee and his wife Debby McGee as well as cousins on both sides of his family.

A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held Saturday, February 4th at 2:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, Texas, 76013.
