Kelly Lynn Davis, a beloved woman of faith, devoted women’s minister, loving aunt, cherished sister, and dear friend, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Clifton, Texas, at the age of 64. Her sister, Jody, was there by her side holding her hand as she passed. Kelly’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
Kelly was born on October 12, 1959, in Arlington, Texas, at Arlington Memorial Hospital, to Jack and Ruth Davis. From her earliest days, Kelly’s vibrant spirit and compassionate heart shone brightly, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Kelly’s journey was marked by a deep commitment to her faith and service to others. She served as the women’s college minister at Pantego Bible Church and the University of Texas at Arlington, where she poured her heart into nurturing the spiritual growth of young women and fostering a community of love and support. Her involvement in Young Life and her participation in mission trips to Romania exemplified her dedication to spreading the message of God’s love and grace.
In addition to her ministry work, Kelly pursued her passions with fervor and enthusiasm. She graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Texas at Arlington and embarked on a career as a flight attendant with American Airlines, where her warm and caring nature endeared her to passengers and colleagues alike.
Kelly’s love for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was a woman of many talents and interests, from her time as the homecoming queen of the AHS Class of 1978 to her fondness for animals, especially her beloved cats. Kelly’s love for music and singing brought joy to those around her, and her infectious laughter and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Kelly’s greatest joy was found in her role as a daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She adored her nieces and nephew- Carrie Ben Said, Katie Wurst, Caleb Wood, and Kelsey McKenzie. She cherished the bonds of sisterhood with her beloved sister, Jody, brother-in-law Clay and family and her friends . Kelly’s tender heart, compassionate spirit, and unconditional love touched the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service to celebrate Kelly’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
