ARLINGTON -- Kathleen F. McDaniel, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Kathleen was born June 22, 1942, in Laconia, N.H., to Theodore Laroche and Ollie Pipin Laroche. She received her bachelor of science in human services degree at New Hampshire College in 1985 while working full time as an X-ray technician and in social services. She had a special love for people and gave all she could to show God's love to them. Kathleen met her husband, Bill McDaniel, in Walnut Creek, Calif., in 1991 and they were married a year later in Carmel, Calif. Kathleen retired in 2002 from social services in Contra Costa County in Northern California. She and her husband moved from San Diego, Calif., to Arlington in 2004 because the Bible Belt is where she felt the Lord wanted her to be. She later became a member of Lake Arlington Baptist Church. Kathleen was very active in volunteering her time to help others having serviced as hospice volunteer, a volunteer at Mission Arlington and other programs helping and ministering to others. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and praised Him daily, often calling him Daddy in prayer and song where she now is in His loving arms. She will be severely missed by her family and friends.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Bill McDaniel; son, Brian Cox; daughters, Kristin Meier and husband, Robert, and Kerri Cox, all of Virginia Beach, Va.; and grandson, Joshua Aldrich.
