Kathleen Agnes Brennan

August 26, 1932 — March 4, 2021

Kathleen Agnes “Kathie” Brennan, 88, went to be with our Lord on March 4, 2021. Kathie was born August 26, 1932 in Beach, North Dakota to Russell and Agnes Dunigan. She grew up in California and graduated from Los Angeles Catholic Girls High school in 1950. She met her husband, Jack, at a USO dance and they were married in 1952. They moved with their five children to Arlington, Texas in 1969 and built a home where everyone was welcome. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She dedicated her time to several of the Church's programs including Noreen's Nourishment and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She also was a member of the Women's Club in Arlington for over 30 years and especially enjoyed their antique department. Kathie often sent people Angels, her trademark token, to let them know she was thinking of them. She was very creative, often making homemade gifts to send to her friends and family. She even founded a craft group named Santa's Elves that met for over 35 years. Her generosity and compassion were not only reserved for humans, as she loved and cared for animals just the same. It was not uncommon for her to package up leftovers, hers and anyone else's within arm's reach, to take home to the critters who frequented her balcony. Racoons, possums and stray cats, affectionately referred to as “Kathie's Critters”, would dine like royalty thanks to her kindness and love (and generally small appetite). Kathie is now reunited with her husband of 58 years, John Andrew Brennan III, and her son, William Brett Brennan. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her sister, four children, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and her extended family and many friends. A memorial service will be held privately for the family at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cook Children's in Kathie's honor.
