Katherine Ruth Dollar

Katherine Ruth Dollar, 93, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Ruth was born on November 27, 1927 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Luther Couch Gibbons and Bessie Bodine Gibbons. She attended Baylor University in Waco where she met Lee Roy Dollar and that was it! They married at Webb Baptist Church. Ruth worked at Arlington State Bank in the Florence Hill area during the mid-1960's. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Couch Gibbons and Bessie Bodine Gibbons; and husband, Lee Roy Dollar in 2003.
