Karen Sue Fedor, of Arlington, Texas, departed this world to be with our Heavenly Father on February 22, 2025.
Karen was born on January 14, 1951, in Indiana. She moved to Texas at a young age and called it home for the remainder of her life.
Karen graduated from Arlington High School and went on to attend the University of Texas in Austin, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Education. She later achieved her Master's in Education from the University of Texas system.
Karen dedicated 40 years of her life to the Arlington Independent School District. She taught in elementary and junior high classrooms before transitioning to the administrative sector later in her career. After retiring from AISD, Karen worked part-time at the YMCA, where she met the love of her life, Mike Fedor.
Karen and Mike married on October 21, 2017. She cherished the time they spent together-volunteering at Meals-On-Wheels, attending Mike's airplane contests, traveling, and gathering with family.
Karen never met a stranger. Her smile and laughter were infectious. She was as generous and compassionate as they come, always putting others before herself. Karen had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her presence brought warmth and joy to any room she entered.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Glenda Manly. She leaves behind her husband, Mike Fedor of Arlington, Texas; her sons Jason Yutzy (Danielle) of Burleson, TX, and Jordan Yutzy (Nicholina) of Alcalde, NM; and her grandchildren Natalee Yutzy, Evelyn Yutzy, and Connor Percefull of Burleson, TX, and Shauna Weiderholt of Alcalde, NM. She also leaves behind a litany of family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Karen's love and kindness touched many lives, and she will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Karen will be missed tremendously, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
