June Louise Nickerson Jordan May 8, 1947 - August 10, 2021 June Louise Nickerson Jordan was born on May 8th, 1947 to Annie Lee Ramsey and Warren Jacob Nickerson, DVM, in San Antonio, Texas. She entered Life Eternal on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, following a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents. June was a loving and faithful servant of Christ, wife, mother, "Gia," and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, The Rev.Terence N. Jordan; children, Annie Lucas Stone (Tony) and George Faithon Lucas; stepsons, Andrew Jordan (Marian), Peter Jordan (Sheryl), The Rev. John Jordan (Liz); granddaughters, Mariel Keyser Black (John) and Julia Avery Keyser; step-grandchildren, Thomas, Juliana, Catherine, James, Edith, Anne, Aidan, Lucy and Jude; great-grandson, Maximus Anthony Black; sisters, Anne Nickerson (John), Charlotte Travland (Lewis) and Mary DeArman; Korean brothers, Woo Jung Lee (Ae Sook) and Hung Su Chung (Nam Soon), a niece, nephews, numerous cousins, beloved uncle Brigadier General Frank A. Ramsey, and her cherished Korean families. June and her three sisters were raised in El Paso, TX, where she graduated from Burges High School. She played the violin in the school orchestra, was a member of the tennis team, was an American Field Service (AFS) student ambassador to Ecuador, and voted "All Burges Girl" her senior year. She was also a graduate of North Texas State University with a B.A. in music. During June's first marriage, she, Annie, George and their father lived in South Korea for a year, while he was stationed in the Army. June was a gifted violinist, violist and teacher of music through DISD, and later taught private lessons to many beloved students. She also was a member of the White Rock Quartet, and more recently a member of Musical Arts in Dallas. June was an amazing gourmet cook and showcased her talent as a co-owner and caterer of her company, A Moveable Feast. June was a member of Saint Mark's Anglican Church and held her anglo-catholic faith dear to her heart, exercising the daily practice of that faith. She spent countless hours serving Christ and the community through the church's soup kitchen and by teaching Sunday school. June was also a member of the altar guild and embraced the daily duties and responsibilities associated with being a clergy wife. June will be fondly remembered for the grace, love and light she brought to this world and to the many lives of those she touched. Her unmatched humility, graciousness, compassion, love and loyalty to family and friends, and her selfless service to others made her exceptionally unique. June enacted her faith and was a Christly example to all. Her love of music was often intertwined with her faith through her love of hymns, and she also held a great affinity for religious art and iconography. June had an incredible thirst for knowledge and a wonder of all of God's creation. She was fiercely proud of her Scottish heritage and loved all things lavender. June will always be remembered for her sweet voice, gentle smile, merry disposition, sense of humor, her passionate patriotism and her unwavering faith in God. A Requiem Mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at 10:30 at St Mark's Anglican Church, 2024 S. Collins Street, Arlington, TX 76010. There will be a reception following the service in the Parish Hall, with a private graveside service for the family. Wade Funeral Home is serving June's family.
