ARLINGTON -- Julette Hyden Hiett, 95, dear wife, mother and aunt to many, passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington, with Dr. David Mosser officiating.
Visitation: The family will receive family and friends at 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Julette's name to Arlington Meals on Wheels.
Julette was born on Sept. 12, 1921, to Julia Josephine Cogdell and John R. Hyden Sr., in Dallas.
She was a graduate of Arlington High School where she was an honorary cheerleader. Upon graduation, she attended North Texas Teachers College. Julette married Richard Henry Hiett in 1946, in San Antonio. She was a resident of Arlington most of her life and a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. She was a longtime member and former officer of the Arlington Women's Club and a member of the DAR and served Meals on Wheels for over 35 years. She retired as an administrative assistant in the oil and gas industry. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and entertaining family and friends for 62 years.
Julette was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry Hiett.
Survivors: She is survived by her sons, Richard Douglas Hiett of College Station and James Hiett of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter, Ann Raymond of Dryden, Mich.; brother, James Hyden and wife, Anita of Tyler; sister, Carolina Virginia Graham of Wichita Falls; and grandson, Christopher Scott Hiett.
