Judy Ann Leach

May 4, 1944 — February 2, 2024

Judy Ann Leach, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and caring friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 79 in Arlington, Texas. Born on May 4, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, Judy touched the lives of many through her compassion, kindness, and unwavering love.

With a heart full of warmth and a gentle spirit, Judy dedicated her life to supporting and nurturing the education of children as a Teachers Aid in the field of education. Although she didn’t obtain a formal degree, her innate desire to make a difference in the lives of young minds was evident in her daily interactions with students.

Judy, a woman of many interests, found solace within the pages of a book, always immersing herself in literature. With a voracious appetite for reading, she would devour two to three books a week, relishing every word. Her passion for literature was not only a personal joy but also an inspiration to those around her.

Family was at the center of Judy’s world. She had a deep love and devotion for her husband of 57 years, Walter Leach, with whom she shared countless memorable moments and adventures. Judy’s daughters, Kristen van Eesteren and Karrie Hermance, held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in being a loving and supportive presence in their lives. Her grandchildren, Sydney Hermance and Ryan Hermance, brought immeasurable happiness to Judy’s life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, particularly taking them shopping and sharing in their joys and accomplishments.

In addition to her love for literature and family, Judy had a profound admiration for animals. She always had a special pet by her side, providing love, companionship, and comfort in her home. Judy’s warmth extended beyond her immediate circle, as she enjoyed the company of dear friends over dinner, sharing laughter and stories. To give back to the community, Judy knitted hats for children for Mission Arlington and diligently donated school supplies, knowing that even a small act of kindness could brighten a child’s day.

In honoring her life, a Memorial Mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 am. Friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to join together in remembrance, celebrating the beautiful and compassionate soul that was Judy Ann Leach.

Judy will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. May her spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire acts of kindness and love within the lives of those she loved.
