ARLINGTON -- Judith Atkinson, 73, faithful wife, loving mother and godly friend, entered into the joy of her reward at 4:40 am Saturday, May 14, 2016 at an Arlington hospital following a 21-year bout with Stage IV Breast Cancer. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24th at Grace Street Fellowship Church, 1516 W. Pioneer Parkway with Dr. Daniel Vestal, Dr. James Draper and Dr. Jim Burgin officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 23rd at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Program guests include: Mr. Richard Green (former Mayor of Arlington), Evangelist Joe Atkinson, Mr. Jack Clark and Mrs. Steve Hambrick. Pallbearers: Michael W. Adams, Jason D. Atkinson, Patsy Furr, Edgar R. Gatlin, Jerry M. Hodges, Merle Welpman, Marie S. Vestal, R. Reagan Atkinson, Paul L. Furr, Robert L. Hendrix, Don M. Kidwell, George W. Slaughter and Jerry Hoodenpyle. Survivors: Survived by her husband of 52 years, Evangelist Joe Atkinson of Arlington, son Jason Drew Atkinson, 45 of Coppell, wife Diane, four grandchildren, Victoria Lynn and Calvin Mathis of Waco, Lola Grace and Landry Kate of Coppell and a brother, Gerald Lynn Covey of Georgetown.
