Judith Ann Jaynes of Arlington, a dearly loved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. She was 84 years young.
Judy was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas. She attended Texas Tech, and later graduated from UTA with a degree in finance.
Judy loved to travel. Whether she was biking through Provence, barge trips through the Netherlands or sipping wine overlooking the Amalfi coastline, she never tired of planning her next adventure. Judy was passionate about entertaining and was the ultimate hostess! She was a gourmet chef who wowed guests with her latest creations and elegant parties, all with the grace and humor that she embodied.
One could find Judy frequently serving her community through Arlington Civic League and various church activities. Additionally, Judy served on MD Anderson’s Board of Visitors.
Judy was a strong independent mother who set a beautiful example for her three children. For any problem in life, she always had a thoughtful solution that personified her integrity. There was rarely a subject she didn’t have an opinion on. We always knew where she stood.
She also enjoyed snow skiing, playing bridge and was an avid Texas A&M fan. Judy loved listening to music, especially Bluegrass. She had a zest for life that emanated to everyone around her.
Judy’s positive attitude helped her survive cancer twice. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by her husband Weldon, her brother Sam, her three children, Steve, Stacy, and Stefanie Ervin as well as her beloved five grandchildren.
