Juan Humberto “John” Provencio was born on June 3, 1933 at his grandmother’s residence in El Paso, Texas. He passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 89 in Arlington, Texas. John owned his own business, John Provencio’s Tune-Up Service in Fabens, Texas after working with his beloved father at his Conoco Service Station in Fabens for many years, and the U.S. Post Office. He retired from his business in 2014. He was a devoted, hard-working, loving, and compassionate man who loved his Lord Jesus, his family, and his country. He served in the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS McCain and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Pauline Provencio; his brother, Manny Provencio; his daughter-in-law, Rosie Provencio; his brother-in-law, Albert Lawyer; and his nephew, Keith David Lawyer.
He is survived by his wife, Julieta Provencio; his son, John David Provencio; his daughter, Brenda Tindall and husband, Mark; his sisters, Bonnie Lawyer, Ellie Knight and husband, Cloyd, and Linda Hooper; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison McGuire; a step-granddaughter, Priscilla Rey; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and aunt.
Memorial graveside service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2:15 p.m.
