Arturo was born June 15, 1973 in Cortazar GTO, Mexico to proud parents Quintana L. Mendoza Y Jose Carmen Martinez Juarez.
He was the youngest out of 8 brother and sisters that were raised in a Catholic home with catholic values.
Arturo's main ambition in life was to stay close to the family and provide his help that anybody would need passing along in his way.
Prior to his illness, he enjoyed traveling through states, taking beautiful pictures of nature along the way that if sometimes if he had an opportunity he would invite his family to go and enjoy the views with him.
He was also very talented and skilled in many professions. He was a professional plumber, cook, knew how to paint/draw, made Dioramas, and could build a house if you asked him. The perfect handy man for the job.
When he was younger he would always go out with his friends and enjoy metal rock bands with them or simply just enjoy their presence.
Friends were truly important to him as much as family was, in his hardest and precious times thank you for being a friend to him when he mostly needed one. Those friends that he had and put a smile on his face and gave him happiness.
He helped raise his older sisters Reyna and Carmen children( Gerardo, Karina, Ricardo) Whom he adored ‘till his passing day and also which he became a father figure to the children that promised to protect ‘till the end.
Arturo left lasting impressions with whoever came in contact with him. He was a very genuine, loving, caring, ambitious, life saver, hardworking man, and we now like to think of him as a coach... if there was ever doubt in our heart he was there to reassure there was nothing to worry about and we would do this together.
He leaves behind his sister's and brothers Rayo Martinez Luna (61), María del Carmen Martínez Luna (57) Reynalda (Reyna) Martínez Luna (56) Josefina Martinez Luna (55) Gaspar Martínez Luna (54) Martha Martinez Luna (52) Ramon Martinez Luna (50) Manuel Martínez Luna (49)
He leaves his god daughter, cousins, and many nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews behind.
He was always very thoughtful of his family, and in his last conversations with us he made sure we knew that before his transition... today we let a Uncle, Brother, son, nephew, rock star, god father, and most importantly a father figure rest in Paradise. Until we meet again we love you forever and always
“Death is not death only a journey to infinity and beyond”
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refugee.
