Joy Van Hager

Joy Van Hager passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, December 17 at 2 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather an hour prior to the service to express their condolences and share memories. Joy was born Ervy Joy Vanskike in Galveston, Texas, on October 14, 1939, to Verna O. Vanskike and Ervin B. Vanskike who proceeded her in death. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law - Diane & Mike Daniel; Gaylen & Mike Tharp; and Holley & Jim Thompson; along with four grandchildren - Travis O'Rear, Lizzi O'Rear, Curtis Tharp and Olivia Thompson; her sweet Bitsy Dog and many treasured friends. We give a loving farewell hug to our sweet “Mama Joy”. Thank you for the love, fun times and support you gave us through the years. Now it is time to rest.
