ARLINGTON -- Joy Lou Adams, 78, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in Arlington.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington.
Joy was born April 18, 1934, in Fort Worth to Joyce Rasbury and John Joseph Biondi Sr. She graduated from Polytechnical High School and Texas Woman's University.
Joy married George E. Adams on Aug. 20, 1951, and they have resided in Arlington the past 46 years.
Joy was a longtime teacher for Blanton Elementary School. She loved to travel the highways and byways of life.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phillip.
Survivors: Husband, George E. Adams; sons, Curtis Adams and wife, Sue, and Ron Adams and wife, Harla; brother, John Biondi Jr. and wife, Billie Ann; grandchildren, Andy Adams, Alan Adams, Clay Adams, Steven Adams and Amanda Stinson; and seven great-grandchildren.
