Joseph Sidney Lock

ARLINGTON -- Joseph Sidney Lock, 75, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in West Hill Cemetery, 1304 W. Lamar, Sherman, Pastor Clark Bosher officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Joe was born in Bertram to Allen and Eloise Lock on June 12, 1937. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Joe married Frances Hethcox on Jan. 10, 1960. His life was centered on his family. He was a longtime resident of Woodville, where he started his career as a Texas DPS trooper in 1967 and raised his family. He retired from DPS in 1988, after 21 years of service. Joe loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He will be missed by many. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother and two sisters. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances; daughter, Lorna and husband, Doug, Son Scott and wife, Julie; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob and JoElla.
