Joseph F. Fritsch Jr. was born February 3, 1948 in Eureka, CA to Joseph Frank and Mary Louise Fritsch. He died August 7, 2021 in Mansfield, TX surrounded by the people who loved him. After graduating from Eureka Senior High School in Eureka, CA. In 1966, he enlisted into the United States Air Force and was soon deployed to Bangkok, Thailand where he met and married the love of his life, Nikki and fathered three children, Joy, Lisa and Joseph III. Following a 26 year decorated and fruitful career in the Air Force with tours in Vietnam and Desert Shield/Storm, he retired in Arlington, Texas. Though retired, his passion to serve never died as he headed teams in virtual flight to facilitate a space for enlisted and retired military personnel from across the world to come together to bond and create lifelong friendships. Forever the family man, he adored his grandchildren and always had a laugh, a story and an ounce of wisdom to share. He was a world traveler, a drag racer, fisherman, tech lover and an all around lover of life. He lived his life fully and on his terms and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
He is preceded by his parents, Joseph F. Fritsch Sr. and Mary Louise Fritsch, sister, Darlene Oberman and son, Joseph F. Fritsch III. He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Nikki Fritsch, brother, Jim Fritsch (and spouse Bill Parker), daughters, Joy and Lisa, and grandchildren, Kacey, Kayla, GreySun, Adelina and JoJo. His legacy will live on in each of their hearts.
